This project undertook the ambitious task of transforming an ancient villa located in one of the most prestigious districts of Warsaw. Originally, it was a place where time seemed to stand still: heavy furniture, outdated color schemes, and a lack of light created a sense of tiredness in the space. The client wished for a breath of freshness and modernity without losing the classic charm and elegance that are the hallmarks of the villa.

Client Goals and Objectives:

The client wanted to transform the villa into a place where classic design meets modern conveniences. The primary goal was to preserve the historical heritage of the property while adding elements of modernity and technology. It was important to create a space for entertainment that could accommodate a large number of guests while still being cozy and functional for family life.

Materials Used:

We stayed true to classic aesthetics by choosing natural materials. The floors were made of high-quality marble with inlays of semi-precious stones, adding luxury and sophistication to every step. Walls were covered with exclusive Venetian plaster, perfectly complementing the soft textile furniture upholstered in silk and velvet. For creating accents and decorative elements, handcrafted solid wood products and forged elements on balconies and staircases were used, adding a vintage flair to the interior.

Design Concept:

In line with the client’s desire to balance classic and modern, I chose warm earthy tones as the background color to emphasize the space and magnificence of the villa. Every detail, from curtains to decorative pillows, was carefully selected to create rich textures and visual interest. We utilized modern artistic lighting to add drama to the interior and highlight the artworks and architectural features.

Layout Solutions:

Significant changes were made in the layout to improve the flow of light and movement throughout the home. We combined several smaller rooms into one large open space where the living area seamlessly transitions into the dining area, creating the perfect setting for hosting guests. At the same time, secluded nooks for relaxation and personal time were created, providing a balance between public and private spaces.

Technical Implementation:

The realization of this project required a team of 30 craftsmen, including builders, designers, and restorers specializing in the restoration of historical properties. Striving for perfection, each stage of reconstruction was meticulously planned and executed with attention to the smallest details, achieving a high level of quality without compromising the historical value of the villa. The project was completed in 12 months, made possible by effective coordination and the application of the latest construction technologies.

Premium Brands:

To emphasize the status of the villa, we used exclusive furniture and accessories from leading global manufacturers. The living room was furnished with pieces from Ralph Lauren Home and Restoration Hardware, while lighting from Baccarat and Schonbek added brightness and sparkle to each room. The bathrooms were equipped with fixtures from Devon & Devon and Waterworks, complementing the luxurious look of the interiors.

Unique Features of the Project:

A distinctive feature of the project was the integration of modern home management systems that were implemented in such a way as to not disturb the classic look of the interior. “Smart home” systems provide control over climate, security, lighting, multimedia, as well as water supply and energy consumption. Additionally, unique solutions for sound insulation and vibration comfort were used, which are especially important for such spacious premises.
